Â鶹¹ÙÍø President, Dr Helen Mactier will be participating in the Ride Across Britain 2021 (4-12 September), raising funds for Â鶹¹ÙÍø and the Bliss baby charity.

Helen and son Iain have self-funded this adventure, so every penny raised will be used by Â鶹¹ÙÍø and Bliss in improving care for sick and preterm babies.

For simplicity, Helen has created one JustGiving page, but the funds raised will be shared 50:50 between Â鶹¹ÙÍø and Bliss.

Helen says: "Cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats is a crazy challenge for an ageing neonatal consultant without a lot of cycling experience, but surely it can't compare to the challenges faced by parents of sick newborn babies."
